Model of the Kabah

Well here it is, as promised. The model that I worked a bit on with my four year old. Basically we just took a square shipping box, covered it with black construction paper and then added some strips of yellow construction paper on top for the finishing touches. She did most of the cutting, all of the gluing and of course her attempt at the Arabic lettering. :)

  2. Thanks! I was actually surprised at how well it turned out. I forgot to mention that since she did all the gluing, the sides of the box were showing because she didn't glue the paper close enough so I went over the corners and sides with black electrical tape.

  5. I haven't really decided yet. I definitely want to keep it as long as I can. I've kept almost all of the arts and crafts she's been doing since the age of three.

  6. Hey hi! Impressive model of the Kaaba :) I didn't realise it was allowed to be duplicated, I once told someone it was a mortal sin! Poor kid, he had to change his final year project! I'm such a meanie!

  7. I've never heard that it was not allowed to be duplicated. Where have you read that?
